About New York City
As the nation's biggest and busiest metropolis, New York is truly the City That Never Sleeps. From culture to sports to cuisine, New York has something to tempt every type of traveler. Find the ideal New York apartment for your group, and settle in to enjoy your visit to the Big Apple.
New York City Climate
New York City has a humid subtropical climate and boasts nearly 250 days of sunshine a year. If you visit during the summer months, you'll typically find temperatures in the mid-80s, tempered by the occasional heat wave. In December and January, lows dip down into the upper 20s, and the city gets about 2 feet of snow during the winter season. If the weather is a concern for your trip, keep in mind that spring and fall tend to be the most pleasant seasons to visit. April, May, September, and October bring mild temperatures in the 60s and 70s, along with ample sunshine.
How to Get Around New York City
After you've landed at JFK International Airport or LaGuardia Airport or arrived by train at Grand Central Station or Pennsylvania Station, hail a taxi or hop on the city's public transit system. During your stay, you'll find that relying on taxis or using the city's subway and bus network will get you from virtually all New York apartments to every attraction, restaurant, and point of interest. Driving is certainly an option in New York, too. With heavy traffic and pricey parking, however, it's neither the most pleasant nor the most affordable way to get around.
