It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales. Town: Honley with it's old centre of cobbled streets, is set on the banks of the River Holme. The village has a wide selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The Grade II listed church has the remains of a set of stocks in its grounds. Just three miles away is the town of Holmfirth, famed as being the setting for comedy series Last of the Summer Wine. It has a good public swimming pool and fitness centre, parks, shops and restaurants. Huddersfield, and the cities of Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester, as well as the delights of the Peak District National Park are within reach.More

Beautifully refurbished and furnished, everything you could want for a holiday including wood burning stove and hot tub. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed the amenities and location. Highly recommended.
