Courtyard Cottage is a Grade 2 listed Cottage in the beautiful hilltop village of Chulmleigh. The cottage has recently been completed refurbished to provide ample space for up to four people. The ground floor has an open plan style with kitchen, dining and large sitting area. Upstairs there is a main bedroom with en-suite shower room, second bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom. Outside there is a walled courtyard garden offering a private space to enjoy the sun. There is free parking nearby. During the current Covid-19 crisis we have introduced additional practices after each stay to ensure our guests are as safe as possible, including Cleaning and disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and cleaning Floors, walls, blinds, and other low-touch surfaces with hot water and detergent. Delightful cottage - Nicely decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Nice homely touches (coffee machine, cereals, jams, bread etc. Plenty of dishwasher tablets and cleaning products etc. so you don't need to bring your own). No problem with parking. Useful little shop nearby....More

About the neighbourhood
Chulmleigh offers an ideal base to explore Devon. You can reach both Exmoor and Dartmoor within a half hours car journey and the north and south Devon coast resorts are also within easy reach. Although a small village, Chulmleigh offers a wide range of amenities including a pub, hotel, bistro, Indian restaurant, late opening convenience store, butchers, bakers, post office and golf course with a welcoming clubhouse open to everybody. All these facilities are within a short walk of the cottage.
Getting around
Kings Nympton station is about 2km from the cottage which is on one of Britain’s most scenic railways, the Tarka Line runs for 39 miles between Exeter and Barnstaple, following the gentle river valleys of the Yeo and Taw. The line has linked North and South Devon since 1854. It is an ideal and picturesque way to visit Barnstaple, capital of North Devon or to reach the great cathedral city of Exeter.
