There's not a lot I can say about Coastal Wood Camping that hasn't been said before. For visitors to have a relaxing break, a lot of hard work and planning has gone on in the background. I loved that there was hand wash and a towel provided in the loos. Not because I'm mean, but because you've already made a little trek to the block and in a moment of desperation the last thing you need is to be left in a tricky dilemma !!! Lee & Abi are on hand for any questions or offers of help, but at the same time allow visitors to enjoy their own space. Little things I loved, same font used throughout all the notices and information (I know, I know) phone charging boxes in the wash-up areas, Elf Cottage and wheelbarrow's are provided, I used ours to transport the washing up and water containers with a dog hooked on each handle!! Lee and Abi deserve every accolade they have recently been awarded. They are a credit to the tourism industry and their approach of simple, quiet spaces shames other pack 'em in sites. Well done 👍

Thank you for your really lovely review of Buttercup pitch. It is wonderful to see that you had a good time and enjoyed our little campsite despite some unkind weather. We particularly loved your comment about the same font. It made us smile as it is a standing joke that Lee likes it all uniform. We do hope to see you again and thank you for your kind words about the recent awards.
Kindest regards,
Abi and Lee

Camping Perfection!
I camped on Buttercup pitch along with my 3 year old and 3 month old for a week in July. I was slightly nervous about my first 'non EHU' camp but didn't need to worry at all - absolutely all of our needs were catered for. The spacious pitch felt like our own little home and was within close distance of the toilet and shower 'shed' (very hand with the little ones!). The canvas shelter and picnic bench is a brilliant area to sit if the rain comes and store items you may not want in your tent.
The facilities were immaculate and the owners have thought of everything you may possibly need... From washing up liquid, a baby bath (VERY handy thank you!) to a radio in the toilet!
The 'little diddy shop' is stocked up with lots of food items and essentials...and having your own shelf in the freezer helps immensely when it comes to keeping your cool box cool for the week.
My 3 year old thought the woods was amazing... and was so excited to find the noughts and crosses game and little house. It was hard to get her to come away :-)
Location wise there is lots to do in the surrounding area and some lovely beaches very close by.
I'm already looking at dates to book next year...no other campsite will ever come close!

Hi,
Firstly so sorry for our late reply. It's been a busy summer!
Thank you so much for your very kind and comprehensive review. It is great to know that you had a good camping stay here and like the facilities we offer. We are pleased we were able to make your camping trip with your two children comfortable with the dining shelter, freezer shelf etc. From our side, its good to know that the baby bath was useful.
The woods are a particular favourite of ours and we do enjoy spending time down there, so it is great that your daughter loved the noughts and crosses game too and enjoyed playing at 'base camp'.
We look forward to seeing you and your family again next year.
All the very best,
Lee and Abi

Fantastic camp - everything has been laid on
This is a great campsite and went beyond my expectations. Its not an ordinary campsite but is a small and intimate location in which to have a great camping experience. There is no need to be hanging around with the bank holiday crowds this was a location when you can build your own adventures backed up by great facilities. Lee is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoys hosting his guests. The thought and creativity that has gone into this place is evident in all the exceptional touches in the site and his hard work shows up in the shower and washing up block which he built himself.

Thank you for lovely review of Buttercup Pitch. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay here and it exceeded your expectations. We don't believe in cramped and crowded campsites but rather have only three spacious campfire pitches set in two quiet meadows.
It was a pleasure meeting you and hope you return again.
All the very best,
Lee and Abi
