Experience a Natural High! Rufus’s Roost has its own entirely secluded space with uninterrupted views through the tree canopy across to the North Yorkshire Moors and the White Horse of Kilburn. Its turrets tower amongst the Sycamore, Ash and Oak trees, and you can luxuriate outdoors in the log-fired hot tub on the terrace whilst taking in the birds eye view of the sun setting over open Yorkshire countryside. This is a place to recoup, restore and revive. For these reasons Rufus’s Roost is not the place for Hen and Stag groups. For the sake of the wildlife we ask that noise (including music) is kept to an absolute minimum between 11pm and 7am. Rufus’s Roost sleeps up to six people in three separate treetop bedrooms! There is a swish bathroom, modern kitchen dining area with all the mod cons and a log-burner to cosy up to in the colder winter months. Outside a large veranda with log-fired hot tub provides the perfect scene for gazing up at the stars and taking in the breath-taking rural Yorkshire countryside! Recoup, Restore, Revive! Rufus’s Roost is no ordinary Treehouse... Perched on a hillside in woodland belonging to the 14th Century medieval Baxby Manor access to Rufus’s Roost is through the forest on a raised board-walk! Between the two turrets there is a large veranda for alfresco dining complete with a log-fired pizza oven and a log-fired hot-tub! For the cold dark winter months there is a 'Den” complete with bean bags, comfy cushions, TV, games console, movies and popcorn machine, accessed via slide! However we’d much prefer it if you went outside and embraced the Great Outdoors and discovered what it has to offer - so inside Rufus’s Roost you’ll find binoculars and a bat monitoring station! We would love it too if you let us know what animals you spot whilst here so we have created a ‘Beasts, Birds, and Bugs’ log for you to write in. A travel cot, highchair, sterilising equipment and a milk and food warmer are all provided for your little munchkins! We encourage you to climb the trees and play in the stream! Connect with nature - DISconnect from everything else! Sleeps up to six in two doubles bedrooms on the ground floor plus a double/single bunk on the mezzanine above. We are very eco-conscious here at Baxby Manor which is why the heating and hot water is via an Air Source Heat Pump, all lighting is LED and all our products are eco-friendly. You can rest assured that your impact upon OUR environment whilst staying at Rufus’s Roost will be minimal, and we’re always looking at ways to make it even less! All bedding and towels are provided so you just need to bring yourselves plus food and drink! No trees have been harmed in the construction of Rufus’s Roost...well that's not strictly true actually....!More
