The immediate surroundings of Finca la sonrisa is ideal for walking and cycling (racing and mountain bike) in varying degrees of difficulty. Within a half hour drive are several golf courses and there are excellent opportunities for mountain climbing. There are also some stables. Wine lovers can indulge in one (or more) of the bodegas in the region that provide tours / tastings. Salinas is both the wine trail and the castles route.
