A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Perfect for children with a brilliant playing area and field in the village.

Divine country cottage in lovely village
Chantry Cottage is a lovely warm and welcoming home. As soon as you walk in the door it has a relaxing atmosphere. Country cottage decoration but with a modern twist. The bed was so comfortable. Although in a village it was very quiet which was a surprise. A shop just around the corner, great walks from the doorstep- especially easy one into Bakewell. The Monsail trail not far which we really enjoyed. The only downside for my hubby was that there was no Wi-Fi but I thought it was a bonus! We fully intend going back and would have liked to keep this little gem a secret!

Wonderful cottage, wonderful location
Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. The cottage was comfortable, cosy and very well decorated with original features. The kitchen was well equipped and lead to the conservatory which looked out onto the beautiful garden.Great walks from the cottage including the Monsal trail and to the nearby market town Bakewell. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant cottage, great location!
We stayed in Chantry Cottage for a birthday weekend away in Derbyshire and what a fantastic place it is! Our sat nav took us straight to the cottage with no problems and we were able to get straight in using the keycode we were given. The decoration is really homely and fits in well with the character of the place. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is included although we ended up eating out both nights we were there. The bedrooms were all immaculate and bathroom brilliant - really like the bath! After a day of walking round Ashford it was nice to get back to a log burning fire that had already been set up by the owners. The one thing we found was that you have to turn the freesat box on in order to get the channels to work rather than just switching the TV on. We went out for dinner in Matlock the next day which is only a short drive away - the cottage really is in a great central location to all the walks and surrounding towns. We'd highly recommend Chantry Cottage and are looking forward to our next stop!

Fabulous cottage
Highly recommended! Lovely cottage in lovely village location. Communication with the owner was great and excellent instructions for finding property/obtaining keys. The cottage is just lovely, beautifully decorated in cottage style and very well looked after. We really enjoyed our stay and would definately stay in this cottage again.

Absolutely gorgeous!
We stayed at Chantry Cottage for 2 nights over a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. We were three adults and two children, which suits the cottage well Chantry Cottage has real "wow factor" with a lovely cosy sitting room, log burner, good sized dinning room and a kitchen which is very well stocked. The weather wasn't brilliant and we really enjoyed the ambience and all being together. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and all you really need to do is bring the food and wine! The bathroom is large and very well appointed. The views from the window across to the church really adds to the relaxed feel of this fantastic cottage. The lady owner kindly arranged to put up balloons and birthday greetings which we sent on ahead and that was a lovely surprise for my daughter. We all felt totally at home and we hope to return in the summer. Would highly recommend Chantry Cottage

Cottage for our wedding weekend
We booked Chantry Cottage as a base to use over our wedding weekend (for my ushers and I the night before and for myself and my new wife Laura the day after our wedding) and it was perfect for both. The cottage a beautiful, tranquil place right in the centre of one of the best villages in the whole of the peaks. Everything you need is included in the cottage, which is also furnished to a really high standard. all the rooms are lovely but the little garden at the back (with BBQ and conservatory) was our personal favourite. The village has two pubs and a great college shop which sells about ten different types of ground coffee! Niki was a fantastic host who helped us a lot in advance of our booking and we even found a bottle of fizz and a card waiting for us when we arrived (possibly this is only for wedding couples). Overall our stay was a fantastic experience and we are already looking forward to returning in years to come.

The best cottage I've ever stayed in
I booked this cottage for a Hen weekend for 6 of us in September, and we all absolutely fell in love with this amazing cottage. Firstly, it's location. It's in Ashford in the Water which is a gorgeous village, and the cottage itself is on a quiet side street opposite the church. Whilst parking is fairly limited outside the cottage, we used the car park at the top of the road which has an honesty box in it (which we used, I promise). The cottage itself is so lovely. It has been fitted out to the very highest standard, was spotlessly clean throughout, the furniture was in excellent condition (sometimes in cottages it can look a little tired), the kitchen was modern with lots of crockery and cooking utensils, the beds were incredibly comfy, there were games, DVDs and books, supplied as well as a working gramophone! etc., etc. - I could go on. I honestly can't rate this cottage highly enough. Oh, and it has a conservatory and garden, which we didn't have time to enjoy unfortunately! We've all decided we'll be back for a Hen reunion next September!

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at.
The owner was very accommodating. The cottage has adequate facilities, were clean and warm. Location is ideal for the White Peaks & Chatsworth but will need to return to complete our wish list of walks. The family owned Pub next door was welcoming and served good food just as it did years ago when we lived nearby. We had extra excitement provided as we were here during the Brexit Results

Excellent quality holiday cottage
High quality, spacious rental in a good location for visiting the area. Had almost all amenities you could want and was a real "home from home" with comfortable rooms, a stove and board games. Would definitely recommend.
