Thetford Forest is the largest lowland pine forest in the country, and much of it is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. With its own unique microclimate, it is one of the driest parts of the country. Brandon is on the Suffolk / Norfolk border and an excellent base to explore East Anglia from. The North Norfolk coast is about an hour away by car, and Norwich around 30 minutes away by car. Brandon railway station is 0.8 miles from the cottage and is on the Cambridge to Norwich line with all popular destinations in Norfolk and Suffolk easily reachable. Alternatively, bring your bikes and simply explore Thetford forest on the wealth of mountain biking trails available!
