Many guests have told us how peaceful and quiet it is here in Roberts Creek, at Art House, and how beautiful. Our B & B is central to 'The Gumboot Nation' of Roberts Creek and a 5 minute drive from an absolute gem of a wild place: Cliff Gilker Park. In summer there are lots of activities: public participatory art projects such as The Mandala, Creek Daze at the end of August, a farmer's market on Sundays in the heart of the creek. The beach is within walking distance - and everyone is friendly. In fall and spring we have Roberts Creek Arts Festival (spring) and Art Crawl (fall). Coast wide there are lots of other activities, festivals, musical events, theatrical, spoken word and artist studio visits. There's also lots of hiking and kayaking in a variety of bodies of water, straits, inlets, lakes. At $116 (Cdn$) per night, our rate INCLUDES 2 complimentary glasses of wine at The Gumboot Garden upon arrival, plus daily coffee. We have enjoyed delighting our guests with our continental breakfast since we opened, 3 years ago. But not everyone wants breakfast. For those who do, our continental breakfast can be ordered at an additional $10 for one, $15 for two. Breakfast = your choice of croissants, cinnamon bun, or granola plus hard-boiled eggs and seasonal fruit  & tea or coffee (with milk / cream & sugar) . Breakfast on request can be ordered to taste and paid for upon arrival. Every year we invest in improving the suite. Last year, we installed a frosted glass-and-wood door at the entrance to the bathroom. Our open concept with visible slate tile shower gave way to a more complete separation and additional privacy. The door really adds a nice look to the interior of the suite, and there's more space to hang towels on the back of the door. This year, we have installed screens on the bedroom windows and add new pillows. More

Relaxing, quiet, restful and romantic getaway from the city. Enjoyed with my partner a few nights, sat outside on our own private deck, surrounded by a garden area and forest, lots of sunlight during the day, dark at night. Close to beach, 6 min walk...More

About the neighbourhood
Roberts Creek is a small town by the sea on the west coast of British Columbia in a place called The Sunshine Coast. We're surrounded by forest and garden. Winding roads retain the rural feel -- but the Sunshine Coast has every amenity a big city has: restaurants, shops, banks, drug stores, a hospital, vets, coffee shops, tennis courts, even a state of the art rec center where you can play hockey, squash and racquetball. It's serene and beautiful here - a great place to get away. Lots of activities: hiking, swimming, bicycling and just touring the beautiful locale.
Getting around
There is a bus stop that is located at the bottom of the road, so other guests have stayed for the entire weekend using the bus or walking. The Gumboot Garden Cafe and restaurant are located within a kilometre of the accommodation, and guests have walked to and from. It depends on what you're comfortable with and how far afield you want to go on your stay.
