You can cook, dine, or relax with a cup of tea, looking out over miles of coastal scenery. Or you can wake up to a panorama of ocean from the upstairs bedroom. Jackobob is a perfect base for a fantastic holiday. In 2015 the cottage was re-roofed, had new Scandinavian windows and doors installed throughout, and a new bathroom. In 2017/2018 the property has been extended by 200 square feet with an enlarged kitchen and conservatory, new utility room and second shower room, new upstairs toilet, decking and full refurbishment with new gas central heating. You can walk straight onto the clifftop from the front door. You are only 2 miles from the renowned Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Sanctuary at Bempton. Alternatively, you can watch the puffins, razorbills, gannets, fulmars, skylarks and short-eared owls from the comfort of your living room – quite simply Jackobob is one of the best sea bird watching cottages in England. There are also two golf courses in the area and the attractions of the glorious resort of Bridlington are only three miles away. Shops in Flamborough are 4 minutes by car or a pleasant walk, the Viking pub is 500 yards away and there are several restaurants within a mile in Flamborough and towards North Landing. Ground floor: Hallway. Living/dining room with French doors. Expanded new kitchen with conservatory with high ceiling and fabulous views. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. New utility room. New separate second shower room. New tiled floors throughout. First floor: 1 double bedroom with sloping ceiling. Separate toilet. New wood burning stove in living/dining room. New gas CH, bed linen and towels inc. T/cot. DVD and small library. Electric cooker. M/wave. Washer/dryer in separate utility room. Enclosed garden with furniture. Ample parking. No smoking. No pets we're afraid because of family allergies. The property is kept spotlessly clean and maintained by Lorraine and Steve who live locally and provide support with any problems. More

Interaction with guests
We have always had great reviews. In response to guest comments we decided on a full refurbishment and extension. The cottage is now faultless and in one of the best locations on the east coast of England. We keep prices reasonable as we want the cottage maximally occupied when the family doesnt use it.

This is probably the best holiday home we have stayed in. Views are stunning and change all the time. The upgrade of the bungalow has made it such an attractive home. Loads of places to visit locally for all tastes.

About the neighbourhood
Resting on the cliff top looking over Thornwick bay and an endless sea view, this 1930s white-wood detached holiday cottage has visitors amazed by the magnificent, natural, raw beauty of the Yorkshire coastline. You can cook, dine or relax with a cup of tea looking out over miles of coastal scenery and wake up to a panoramic oceanic landscape from the upstairs bedroom. Decorated and equipped to a good standard, it is a perfect base for a fantastic holiday. Spectacular cliff walking from the door as you are only 2 miles from the renowned Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Sanctuary of Bempton. How to get there
From the south take M1 until you get to M18 (signposted Doncaster /Hull) follow it until you get to the M62 (sign post Goole/Hull). Follow the M62 until you have gone over the bridge over the river Ouse and then take the next exit to Howden which I think is also signposted Bridlington. Turn right and go straight on to the next roundabout then take the A614 towards Bridlington (BE CAREFUL HERE TO KEEP TO 30MPH UNTIL YOU GET OVER THE NEXT BRIDGE because everyone, and I mean all of the Mothers Union catering committee, have had speeding fines). Follow all the signs to Bridlington and then follow the signs to Flamborough. When you get to Flamborough village you will get to a sign on the corner to North Landing. Go straight on (over a mini roundabout with a memorial in the middle) and head...
