Interaction with guests
We live in Cheshire but the property is fitted with a secure key safe where you will find 2 keys (we recommend leaving one in at all times as a failsafe). We have a local key holder, Robert, for emergencies or help with anything practical (he is often around as he looks after the swimming pool and gardens). We are both (Sarah & Clive) available at all times on our mobile numbers to help you with any queries and will make contact with you personally before travelling and shortly after arrival.

The location and amenities of the house are a very rare find these days. The beach was superb, not busy, plenty of room for a family game of beach cricket. AND the local council keep it all clean, along with voluntary littler pickers, and people...More

About the neighbourhood
There is a very useful village shop / deli / cafe just a few minutes walk up the hill, and on Friday and Saturdays they are open for dinner as a licensed restaurant. Two good pubs: The Inn at the Sticks and The Castle (next door to each other) are even closer. The coastal path can be accessed about 100m away. Carmarthen has a multi-screen cinema, theatre and many good shops (Debenhams, M&S, Next) and an indoor swimming pool for wet weather days. The National Botanic Gardens of Wales are stunning and only 25 minutes drive). There are many activities on offer in the area for kids of all ages. The Castle in Llansteffan is free to enter and has stunning views. Dylan Thomas's home of Laugharne is 30 mins drive. Tenby 40 mins drive.
Getting around
The 227 bus runs from Carmarthen to Llansteffan 6 times a day most days and takes about 22 minutes. There are several taxi firms operating out of Carmarthen (there is one office next to the station). There are also local trains from Carmarthen running around the Gower coast to Ferryside, Pembrey Llanelli and Swansea. Tenby is approx 40 minutes drive. There are numerous cycle recommended routes and the Coastal Path is accessible 100 metres from the property with stunning walks.
