More details can be provided on request. The apartment is only a few minutes walk up to the village with its wonderful orange-tree lined square (Plaza). There you will find a church, many bakeries, banks, restaurants and plenty of shops and well stocked supermarkets. There are many different tapas bars and restaurants to try out. The banks have ATM machines. There is a medical centre and pharmacy in the village they open 24 hrs a day. You will also be a short drive away from zahara and the grazalema natural park which is a popular centre for both walkers and bird watchers. Alternatively we can arrange for you explore the beautiful landscape on horseback or on a bicycle saddle. Local activities include golf, windsurfing, kite surfing, bird watching, rambling, quad bikes, four wheel driving, equestrian activities and language courses.. 'The Via Verde' or 'Green Way' is only 15 mins from us. It is an eco tourist route which can be done on bikes, horseback or walking. The route runs along 36 miles, linking Olvera with Puerto Serrano, but can be accessed at various points to suit your needs. The area behind the village is world famous for its paragliding and hangliding. You can see the north east take off from the balcony of the apartment.Close by in the village are the workshops of the Bernal family, world for their production of both classical and flamenco guitars. Our apartment is equipped with travel books, mini library, maps, hiking/biking routes and any other information that you might need to make your stay as interesting as possible.Every year on 2nd May,The local village people of Algodonales re-enacts a battle against Napoleonic troops which occurred in 1812. There is flamenco music and dancing, plays, spectaculars and the dramatic battle which celebrates the bravery of a village fighting against a well equipped army with only sticks and farm implements.
