Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A hidden gem in the Peak District
I came across the stables cottage after my first choice for a cottage in the Peak District got booked up and I was scrambling to find a cute, cosy cottage for a break for me and my partner. Luckily after some diligent research I came across this beautiful secluded cottage and our stay here was nothing short of amazing! This was a special trip for me and my partner as I ended up proposing to her and we got engaged! So this cottage will forever hold a special place in our hearts! The manager-David was a kind, friendly & patient individual, he provided informative directions to the cottage on the and during the booking process. Upon arrival we were blown away by the little things- a beautiful set of flowers in the living room that ended up blooming over the week we were there, toiletries in the bathroom, milk, biscuits, coffee, & tea readily available. It is a self catering cottage so we did bring some things with us but we never really needed as the cottage has everything! Utensils, pots and pans, glassware, oven trays, foil, cling film, plates and bowls, everything you could ever need! We never felt like we were missing anything! A beautiful setting, as on warmer days you can sit out in the front garden and enjoy a meal overlooking some beautiful greenery and farms should you wish to. I thoroughly recommend the stables cottage for anyone looking at a quiet secluded cottage that’s within close range to the Peak District and it’s walks and hiking trails! Thank you David! Kind Regards Milin & Heena
