Villa
Seaside Villa 1 and 2 are both 2-storey beach house with 4 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom (one bedroom is on the ground floor, 3 are upstairs). The villas sleep 8 guests comfortably. They have a large living and dining area opening onto the outside terrace and its' own private swimming pool plus a big kitchen, pantry & laundry. The villa are next to each other and are 230 metres from the beach and located within the 'Tamani' property. Just walk through our beautiful lush gardens to the beach. Guests from Seaside Villa 1 and 2 also have access to a shared beachfront swimming pool.

Interaction with guests: There are staff in the house - our excellent cook and our wonderful housekeeper. Owner Hugh lives close by and usually comes to say hello and is easily reachable by phone.

Very neat and modern four bed villa 200m from beach
The house is fairly impressive with its own chef and cleaner and 200m from beach.
All the bedrooms have aircon but the common areas can get a bit warm in the evening. The private pool makes for hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike.
Only warning is be sure of your guest numbers before booking. The price is not for the house but linked to the number of guests. so the more people you are looking to travel with the higher the price per day.
The beaches are amazing with pretty white sand and clear blue waters and there are lots of water activities available. All in all a great house to stay in while away from home and would definitely book again.

May I clarify one thing about the rental price:
the rate for the house is fixed at Kes 30,000/- per night (about about USD 300 / 270 euro / GBP230), but we give discounts for groups smaller than 6 people. Meaning that we actually reduce the usual price for small groups...which is the opposite of increasing the rate as you wrote.
We have great staff running Seaside Villa 1 and we always try our best to help our guests have a wonderful holiday in our little slice of paradise.

Wonderful place for a multi-family holiday
We had an absolutely MARVELOUS time at Seaside Villa! We can't wait to come back. The house was perfect (clean, kid-friendly, shaded pool, AC, mosquito nets, beautiful windows and furniture), the beach was stunning, and the food (both at home with chef Cosmos and at the nearby Salty Squid restaurant) was delicious. The Tamani compound is a collection of privately owned homes that doesn't at all feel like a sterile, ritzy resort, though you have many of the same nice amenities. The short, shaded walk through the compound to get to the beach was pleasant, and it was an added bonus to have access to the communal pool between our check out time and our flight back home. Thanks for the great holiday!

Everything about this place is wonderful. The service. The size. The location. The cleanliness. The friendly dogs that keep you company and even escort you to the beach at night if you ask them (the dogs) nicely 😍😍

Bachelorette Getaway
We stayed at the villa for three nights and it was perfect for a well deserved break for the four of us girls. A 2-minute walk to the most beautiful beach and a clean pool as a bonus. Cosmas and Milkah took great care of us making sure our meals were tasty and consistently on time as well as constantly tidy rooms.
Will definitely be back with a larger group because the villa is quite roomy.

Excellent experience at Seaside Villa 1!
Our experience at SSV1 was wonderful! Villa is clean, spacious & comfortable! The staff are lovely, attentive and organized. Pool is wonderful, access to the beach in a short distance walking - great family time in a wonderful place! Definitely coming back!

Great stay in Diani
We spent three nights here and loved it. The house has a private pool and is very close to the beach. The compound was secure and located in a good area of Diani, within walking distance to many restaurants. The chef at the house was great ( amazing curries and seafood salad). The bedrooms are big and have AC. Host was very accommodating and helpful. We would for sure stay here again and recommend to friends.

The rustic feel
Seaside villa is an amazing villa with a rustic feel. Own private plunge pool and the beach is just a short walk away. We stayed there for 3 nights and we loved every moment. The chef Cosmos cooks amazing food and to your hearts desire.
You definitely want to spend a weekend here!!

Great villa near the beach, fantastic service
This villa has so many positives:
1. Hugh, the owner, was extremely responsive and helpful in answering questions and providing assistance as required.
2. The staff are fantastic - Cosmos the chef was so helpful and lovely, being willing to buy fish for us and veg/fruit; Milka the maid, is equally sweet and made sure the villa was kept clean the whole time.
3. The location is great - a short walk to the beach but also tucked away a little so you don’t get constantly hounded by the beach boys.
4. We enjoyed the pool and living area, although during the June-Sept months, a heated pool would have made a big difference.
The only downsides for us were really down to personal preference. We are less keen on Swahili style houses; rustic stone floors and minimalist bathrooms etc. The photos to us slightly overstated the reality. The monkeys were also to us an irritation (though we totally appreciate to others, an attraction). There were a few other minor issues but nothing worth mentioning here.
If you like rustic, this place is for you. A lovely stay, surrounded by lovely staff, in a stunning location.

Amazing experience
We had an amazing experience in this property. We were a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and the property fit us perfectly and it is a beautiful home.
Just a few glitches, the beddings and towels could use some replacement as some were old and torn. The beds were super hard which made it hard for all of us to have restful nights. The food was average and could be tasteful, breakfast was always late as chef arrived after 8.30am and the kids woke up earlier even after we mentioned we would like to have breakfast at 8.30am. These things did not change our overall experience, we just felt like some honesty and some bit of commitment in work is needed from both the chef and the housekeeper.

Thank you Triza for coming to stay with us and I’m pleased you had an amazing stay in our villa.
On the sheets and towels that you write about, I’ve checked with our housekeeper and she says that you didn’t raise any issue with her. This would have been the thing to do. I’ve now personally checked all the bed linen in our storeroom and we cannot find any sheet with a hole, or torn or threadbare. In fact they are all of fine quality and in excellent condition. So I’m at a bit of a loss there. However we did find a tiny tear in one bath towel – no more than 3cm long – again had you raised this with the housekeeper she would have immediately changed it for you. Our desire is always to provide the best quality experience we can for our guests.
On the beds, we have high quality mattresses and generally get many comments about how comfortable our beds are. Some guests have even written reviews to say that. Obviously many of us have different desires for our mattress type – some like soft, some hard, some medium (as ours are). We have many guests and try to find the middle ground. Again the best thing to do if you are unhappy about something is raise it with the staff. Our staff are there to help. Guests repeatedly voice their praise for both of them.
I apologise if our cook arrived late in the morning. He should have been there by 8am rather than 8.30 if you requested that, but he says he thought you had asked him to come at 8.30am to make breakfast. Sorry for any misunderstanding or mix-up and I will ensure that he keeps good time in future.

This is THE best area of beach in Kenya. It's fabulous, the water is clear, warm and calm and so is great for kids and adults alike.
There are about 10 restaurants/cafes/bars within 5kms, with most being in the Diani beach area but there are 3 excellent beach restaurants/bars within 300 metres - just a short walk along the beach.
Getting around
Getting around in Diani Beach and adjacent areas is easy. There are many tuk tuks - these are cheap and you can usually flag one down at the front gate with 1 minute.
There are also plenty of taxis available - there are phone numbers for drivers in the 'Guest Info' booklet in the house.
Walking along the beach a few hundred metres to the various and nearby beach bars and restaurants is completely safe, day and night.

How to get there
If you fly to Mombasa MOI airport, you take a taxi to get here. We are happy to book a taxi for you if you give us your flight details. The fare for a standard taxis is around KES 6,000/- (about US$45 / 45 euro / GBP40); larger 7 seater taxis cost KES 1,000 more.
There's also the local Diani/Ukunda airstrip for flights from Nairobi. This is the best way to get here as the airstrip is only 6kms from the house and a standard taxi will cost about KES1,250/- (about US$10 / 9 euro / GBP8) for the 12 minute drive.
Which ever way you come, the taxi driver will usually stop at the shopping centre in Diani Beach if you want to buy your food supplies on the way here (this is a good idea as you go right past the supermarkets & fruit and vegetable shops and it saves a longer trip out later on). The taxi may add a small 'waiting time' surcharge but it's very little.
