Before your arrival at Baileyfield visitors will be texted the instructions for the key code to access the key for the house. The owners, when possible, will be on hand to welcome but if that is not possible a representative will do the welcome. The owners are very willing to help with suggestions of places to visit and activities to do . In the house is suggestions of a plethora of ideas for sightseeing and activities in a folder 'What do do at Baileyfield'.

Beautiful holiday cottage with breathtaking views from both upstairs and down. Quiet location, able to walk to friendly local pub. They do a Sunday Roast, yummy. Close to Dunoon which has several supermarkets, and lovely shops. So many local attractions. We did the Waverley paddle...More

About the neighbourhood
The town of Dunoon is within easy reach and has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. You could take a steamer cruise and explore the hills and lochs of the Cowal Peninsula. There is an abundance of outdoor activities on offer with sailing, sea fishing, sea kayaking tours, quad bikes, clay shooting and much more. Nearby, the magnificent woodland gardens at Benmore Botanic Gardens and Pucks Glen, the iconic Victorian walk, are well worth a visit. Located within the Loch Lomond National Park, the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists of all abilities and boasts a magnificent diversity of scenery with dramatic peaks, waterfalls, hidden caves and mysterious, forest covered slopes. Getting around
Car is best to get around the sights but there are local attractions that can easily be reached by walking or cycling. There is also an hourly bus service which goes into Dunoon via Benmore Gardens and on further along the coast to Innellan. In the other direction the bus passes all the villages to Ardentinny. The bus stop is only a few yards from the Baileyfield
