This is a 19th century Irish cottage which has been renovated in 2013 to offer old world atmosphere blended with 21st century comfort. The cottage is located on a quiet countryside road, about five miles from Newry in County Down (approx one hour thirty minutes from Dublin and Belfast airports) within easy reach of the famous Mourne Mountains and five minutes drive from the shores of Carlingford Lough. The house is surrounded by a little garden and an old orchard and offers self catering accommodation with a living room, a modern fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, (one ensuite with wheelchair access) and a bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Clean, well presented and warm (thanks to that great underfloor heating). The welcome treats were a wonderful surprise.

Whether approaching from Belfast (North) or Dublin (South) head first for Newry and follow A2 signs for Warrenpoint and Kilkeel. Follow dual carriageway A2 and as you approach Warrenpoint, you pass an old Norman Castle (Narrow Water Keep) on your right. A few metres further on you'll come to a roundabout, at the centre is a big silver coloured elk sculpture. From this roundabout, please take the first exit on your left, the Mound Road, follow for about 1 mile until you reach a crossroads. Go more or less straight across, continuing to follow signs for Burren.
Continue up a long hill until you pass a church on your left, then take the second left after church into Carrogs Road. Drive along the Carrogs Road a few hundred metres, past a football pitch on you...
