About the neighbourhood
The island of Rhodes is at a crossroads between Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This has given the city and the island many different identities, cultures, architectures, and languages over its long history. Its position in major sea routes has given Rhodes a very rich history. The island has been inhabited since about 4000 BC.

There are warm sunny beaches, ancient ruins, traditional foods cooked as they were hundreds of years ago, and much more.

You should not miss to visit the picturesque church of Agios Spiridonas, with it's lovely white bell tower. The old centre of Tholos is built in traditional Rhodian style. With tall shuttered buildings and narrow streets, Tholos (Theologos) in Rhodes is a delight to wander through.
