Klotok House Boats are the wooden river boats that were traditionally used to transport goods and passengers up and down the river. Now they have been converted into houseboats for tourist purpose. The boats are unique in style and size, ranging from one to six cabins, and well equipped with all the necessary amenities such as air conditioner, electric fan, comfortable beds with mosquito nets. The bathroom on board has fresh running water (not river water), with hot water on request and Western toilet. Some feature a day bed on the upper deck, so you can relax as you cruise along the river. You can either choose to sleep out on deck for a more immersive jungle experience, or sleep at the stern of the boat downstairs in a comfortable, private room.

Binoculars in one hand, camera in the other, you will cruise through the parks’ dense forest and mangrove swamps, see these majestic creatures such as proboscis monkeys, giant lizards, macaques, crocodiles, hornbills and orangutan, just metres away from you. Please be aware you will be staying in very simple conditions with just basic modern comforts, and if sleeping out on deck there is a chance you will be disturbed to jungle wildlife.
