The property is located inside an enclosed housing development with security guard. It is on the first floor of the building and is easily accessible from the street (no stairs). There is also a lift straight to the apartment from an underground carpark. It is set within lush tropical gardens and with beautiful swimming pool including a shallow one for children.
The apartment benefits from lots of natural light and there is access to the terrace from both the master bedroom and the lounge area.
On the doorstep is Duquesa golf and country club and just a 10 minute drive away is Sotogrande which boasts several prestigious golf courses.

On arrival to Spain you will contact Julie (telephone number will be given with directions to apartment) giving her an approximate time to meet you with the keys. Usually 1 hour from Malaga or 30 mins from Gibraltar. She will meet you at the security gate of the urbanisation - see you into your apartment and give you any information that you may need and answer any questions that you have.

On the positive side: The apartment is clean and tidy with a nice view over the sea. Few niggles aside, we would have had a pleasant 2-week stay, had it not been for the aircon limiter, which has to be manually activated every 2 hours....More

As you enter the front door there is a fully equipped kitchen to the left. Straight ahead is the lounge complete with dining table (which seats 4-6 people) two sofa's, coffee table, shelving units and plasma television with satellite TV. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, double bed and good quality built in wooden wardrobes. There is also a safe in this room. The second bedroom has twin beds and similar wooden wardrobes. The second bathroom is just outside the second bedroom in the hallway. There are marble floors throughout.

About the neighbourhood
Just 10-15 mins walk from the apartment is Puerto De La Duquesa. This marina complex is used by pleasure craft and fishermen alike. Sea fishing is a popular pastime and boats can be hired for a reasonable price. Yachting lessons are also available. The harbour itself is surrounded by a variety of restaurants, bars and shops and is a great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a meal or drink. Also within walking distance is Sabinillas, a typical Spanish town. Within easy proximity is its main Mercadona supermarket which has everything that you will need for your stay. It has a good choice of meat, seafood, fresh bread, fruit and vegetable. In Sabinillas there are also banks, shops, restaurants and cafe's which are open for breakfast.

How to get there
Malaga airport is about 1 hrs drive away and Gibraltar around 20 mins. These airports are served by many charter airlines including Easyjet, Monarch and Thomson. Flight prices are very reasonable especially if booked ahead and off peak. The flight from the UK takes approximately 2 hrs.
The apartment is easily reached by the main AP7 motorway which runs along the coast.
Car hire is freely available from both airports. Airport transfers can be arranged if needed.
