Tucked away just off the main street in Gargrave, this immaculate stone built cottage makes an excellent base from which to explore the wonderful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Malham and the spectacular Malham Cove just a short drive away. This is Tour de France country and as such provides many varied routes for the keen cyclist. Just 4½ miles away lies the bustling market town of Skipton with its sweeping cobbled High Street and Norman castle standing proudly at its head. Here you will find canal trips, an indoor swimming pool with a wonderful play park close to it, tree top walk and a golf course. There is also a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The National Trust properties of Studley Royal and Fountains Abbey makes for a scenic day out, or alternatively take a trip to the Lake District, all about an hour’s drive away. The spa town of Harrogate is a short drive away also. Here you will find the Valley Gardens, a wide selection of both high end and high street shops together with a vast array of restaurants, pubs and cafés, not forgetting the infamous Betty’s tea rooms where afternoon tea is a must.
