Welcome to our lovely cottage situated in the heart of the Dordogne, with three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one single room) and two bathrooms which makes it ideal for families and couples. New for 2018 an inground swimming pool, photos to be added when available in the spring. You will arrive at the property along a country lane with no-through traffic and we have a lovely long garden which makes it safe for families with young children. There are some lovely country walks for those who like to ramble and don't forget your bike maybe you could enjoy your own Tour de France! This is a lovely gite, not at all far from shop, bakery etc, but secluded when you want privacy. It has everything you'd expect, is clean, splendidly presented, and very comfortable. The Wifi works well which helped with teenagers on board, and the TV is...More

About the neighbourhood
Castelnaud is a pretty little hamlet offering amenities including a bakery/patisserie, butcher, general store, post office, café and riverside restaurant. The Dordogne river runs through Castelnaud allowing you to swim, hire canoes and have lovely summer picnics. High above the village is the commanding presence of the famous Château affording stunning views of the Dordogne valley including the château of Beynac where the English and French used to battle it out centuries ago. In the immediate area there are many activities to be enjoyed including hot air ballooning, fishing, 18 hole golf course, canoeing, walking, lazy boat trips down the river, pony trekking and wine tasting.
