An Lionadh is situated on the magical slate Island of Easdale, 25 minutes South of Oban on Scotland's magnificent West Coast. The house is situated on the Western shore of this tiny, car free island enjoying incredible sea views out to the islands of Jura, Scarba, Islay and Colonsay to name a few. The island boasts a pub and restaurant, gallery, play park, museum and an award winning Hall hosting top notch bands and theatre performances. The marine wild life in this area is second to none and basking sharks, bottlenose dolphins and otters have all been spotted from the house. You can bring your own boat, or take a boat trip with the local 4* boat trips operator. Or you can sit back, relax and absorb the beauty of this wonderful area.

We had a magical week staying at An Lionadh; such an antidote to modern life. The house is spacious, comfortable and full of character and treasures. We felt immediately relaxed and enjoyed the mass of books, maps and games. There’s even a piano and guitar...More

We stayed here in July this year and had the most relaxing time away from everything. The island is lovely. You just get a little boat over which takes about 3 minutes! There are no cars on the island itself, so kids can roam free...More

How to get there
Ferry: Ellenabeich: 0.5 km
From Oban, take the A816 heading South. Go along this road for approx. 7 miles. Watch out for the brown signs to mark the turn off to Easdale Island. Take a right onto the B844. Follow this road right to the end. Enjoy the Wow moment on this stunning drive! Park your car at Ellenabeich and sound the claxon at the pier to summon the ferry Please check the ferry times on the Calmac website, ferry goes approx. every half hour with a 1 1/2 break for lunch and supper. The ferry goes off at 9pm but on a Friday and Saturday an 11pm sailing can be booked. Contact me with any queries.
