The room is charming and comfortable, and it has all the modern amenities and careful touches of a high-end B&B, including fresh fruit, coffee/tea, extensive recommendations, and beds that were pre-warmed by an electric blanket when we arrived....More

Sandra and Chris were very discreet guests. Chris was so busy in a bike race that we did not have a chance to meet. Everything ok. Highly recommend guests.

About the neighbourhood
Our house is part of a little medieval residential borgo, so there are other houses around us. It dates back to 1040 and it was a rest place for the pilgrims travelling on the Via Francigena, that is still accessible today, on foot/bicycle/car. We strongly recommend having a car and we can suggest a few places where you can rent one. You can enjoy long drives through the Tuscan countryside and picnics in beautiful locations that we can suggest. The nearest restaurant is just down the road 'La Speranza', it's very traditional Italian cooking where mostly locals go, two minutes further you can find a pizzeria 'Locanda del Molino 17' if you prefer to have a pizza. Just on the opposite hill there is a 5 star hotel 'Il Castello di Casole'.
Getting around
The nearest bus stop is in Colle di Val d'Elsa, at about 10 minutes by car, and the nearest train station is in Poggibonsi, 20 minutes by car. The nearest village is Casole d'Elsa (about 5 km) and we recommend a visit since it's really picturesque and beautiful. My family and I have lived in this area for 20 years and we know about everything that there is to know, so don't hesitate to come to us for anything! There are many close-by towns and villages to visit like San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni, Florence, Volterra, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza...
