About the neighbourhood
Andrea's Villa is located in the heart of the Chianti region a few kilometres north of Siena. The area is of course famous for its wine production but other wine producing areas are not far away and may be easily toured from the villa. Brunello, Vernaccia, Nobile are some of the many notable producers of fine wines. Around the villa it is mainly rural farmland, vineyards, olive groves, cypress avenues, hilltop farmsteads and villas. from the villa other areas of interest may be reached from oak forest with maritime pine trees, wildlife, the famous 'Crete' and of course the food, history and culture of the region.
Italy has an excellent road network and getting around is straight forward. A car is necessary but on occasion when desired there are buses and trains for those day trips to Florence or Siena. Our concierge is also able to organise chauffeur driven cars for example; a day long tour of two wineries with lunch perhaps?
How to get there
Airport: Florence, Peretola Airport: 89.0 km
Railway: Siena: 18.0 km
Detailed instructions will be sent to our guests upon reservation and once the method of travel is known and to where. For example arrival at Rome Airport and then by rental car to the villa.
