Fantastic cottage, extremely well quipped. Hosts were brilliant, fresh eggs were a lovely touch. Plenty for the kids to do around the cottage which they loved. Couldn’t ask for anything more and would definitely come back. Kids will miss playing with Rosie.

About the neighbourhood
The cottage is located in rural Renfrewshire near Lochwinnoch on the border of Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. There is walking from your doorstep into the park or along country roads or cycle track. The cycle track nearby takes you into the village of Lochinnoch and beyond. A nice bike ride is along the cycle track to Bridge of Weir where there are a number of cafes and restaurants for lunch/dinner. The cottage is set well away from the road with woodland and garden ground to explore and enjoy.
Getting around
A car is recommended but the village is within a 30 minute walk along the cycle track or quiet country roads. The train station is in Lochwinnoch and Glasgow city centre is a 20 minute journey from there. Loch Lomond is a short drive over the Erskine Bridge. The coast, Largs and Cumbrae and the ferries to Aran, Bute and Dunoon are a short drive. The beach at Portencross is a favourite.
