great family beach holiday
We really enjoyed the room we had, overlooking the pool and a view of the Ocean. The pool was perfect for our 2 1/2 year old daughter. Damien at check in was also really helpful.

Elements 121 on Coco Beach, Playa Del Carmen
Elements is a new development at the north end of Playa del Carmen on Coco Beach. Unit 121 is a great unit facing the pool with ocean views. The unit was very roomy with a large balcony. There are tons of closets and storage space. We noticed two issues with this unit. First, there is only one television and almost 90% of the channels are blocked. We actually ended up using our computer to play Dvd's for the kids. Second, the dryer in the unit refused to work. It would take about 3 cycles (1 hour each) to dry 3 towels after washing. Other than that we really enjoyed E121 and the elements complex.

The Elements-Unit 121
We stayed at the Elements Unit 121 from Dec 28 to Jan 7. We were 5 adults and found the unit to be very clean and tidy. The furniture was modern and excatly as shown on the web site. The view from the unit was spetacular with an unobstructed view of the ocean. The patio was large enough for the five of us to enjoy. The concierge Damien was most helpful, making our stay enjoyable and was always ready to assist us with any required information. The Elements has its own private beach, and there were always chairs available anytime of the day. Overall we truely enjoyed the unit and the complex. The only one complaint would be the matress in the sofa bed, it was of poor quality, my son slept on the sofa.

Great pick...almost don't want to give this gem away
Stayed with family of 5 during spring break. Was welcomed with a gift basket and very high level of service. 2 Brdm 2 bath was high quality, quite, nice view, and close to private beach and short walk from 5th ave (though nicely far enough away too from all the bustle and noise). Service from Damian the concierge was excellent (good recommendations). There was a small problem with hot water boiler a few days in, but response was immediate and the issue fixed no problem. Pool was great for kids. Our only regret which had nothing to do with The Elements was renting a car...painful ripoff experience. Recommend taking taxis unless you really anticipate alot of far off day trips (note many of the zip line and other attractions offer their own door to door transport). Also, if you rent at The Elements, highly recommend going through Bric (unless you personally know the renter or something). They are a very professional outfit that make you feel like you are are a hotel...not just like you are on your own in a condo to fully fend for yourself...with cleaning, bottled water and other concierge services...yet at a reasonable price.

Loved My Stay at The Element
Excellent! Can't wait to stay again! Great management if the property! Bric provided me with full detail and information to make my rental so much easier! I'm going to Mexico again this year and I'll definitely stay with the Element again! Such good prices too!

Beautiful apartment, plus lovely veiws
This apartment has everything you could wish for, fully equipped. Beautiful view of the beach, sea & pool, literally a few steps from the apartment is the private beach. The main 5th ave is also only 5 minutes walking distance, however this apartment is very quiet.

Relaxing

Second stay better than first
We stayed in Condo 121 for 6 weeks from the middle of Jan to the end of Feb. Last year we stayed in Penthouse 14, I also posted a review on that condo (Tripadvisor). We booked through Bric Rentals and once again I would not hesitate to recommend and use them myself for bookings. My questions were answered promptly and it was an easy professional booking. When we arrived we were given bracelets and a little info. Miguel greeted us and informed us there was a small problem with the condo, it wasn't quite ready. We sat by the pool and waited. A very short time later he came and said the condo was ready. The problem was with the TV and the remote did not work our whole stay. This was a slight inconvenience but not a big deal as we only watched an hour or so of TV in the evenings. He gave us a complimentary bag of goodies and provided passwords and other info. Throughout our entire stay Yvonne and Miguel the Bric reps were always around the complex, always accessible, helpful and always friendly.
The condo was fully furnished with all the necessities for living and eating for a longer stay. There were more towels than we would need and lots of beach towels . There were enough dishes for the two of us. A small safe for valuables but not big enough for a laptop provided. This condo had a large storage room with shelves next to the kitchen and this was very convenient for groceries, extras, our shoes etc. The condo was equipped with a Sony TV in the living room and another in the bedroom. There was a DVD, drinking water was provided, digital alarms in both bedrooms, the bed was comfy for sleeping although hard, lots of lights throughout, there were no issues with hot water and the dishwasher, washer and dryer all worked fine. Last visit the condo internet was fast and problem free this time the internet was spotty and I had to switch between the condo's wifi and the complexes wifi often. This condo had a propane barbecue which we used often. The balcony was furnished with a table and 4 chairs for eating and two lay down loungers. The chairs provided around the table were comfortable but some lounging chairs would have been appreciated since we tend to spend a lot of time on the balcony. The view was exceptional of the beach area, ocean and pool. The balcony was usable most of the day, shade could be found. We felt secure and safe both in the condo and walking around Playa.
Mega and Walmart were both a 30 to 40 minute walk away but just 10 to 15 minutes was a smaller grocery store called Soriana's. Also on the way to Sorriana's a fresh fruit and veg market that had pre cut mixed fruit reasonably priced. We only took a cab back the first grocery trip and after that went regularly for smaller loads. The walk was quite pleasant.
The pool is long as shown in pictures and perfect for swimming laps. It is not heated and was very "refreshing" some days. Chair saving was not as common this year as last but extra chairs would be an asset for the hot sunny days when both the pool and beach were busy.
The beach was much nicer than last year. One could walk right into the water although the water was not the beautiful aqua blue.
Last year we noticed young singles and loud parties, there was also a fair number of kids that seemed to be unsupervised. This year we noticed this only on a couple rare occasions.
Overall our time was amazing and we hope to return again in the future.
