About the neighbourhood
Saint-Malo is a port city of Brittany, north-west of France. High granite walls surround the old town, which was once a bastion for privateers (King-approved pirates). The cathedral of Saint-Malo, in the center of the old town, has Romanesque and Gothic styles, and stained glass windows telling the history of the city. The Demeure de Corsaire, nearby, is a corsair house dating from the 18th century. It is now used as a museum.
