House Rental
Antique village house situated in a hillside village of Monti di Villa, built using local stone and with views across the mountain ranges. The house has a large sun-filled "soggiorno" with a large open fire, the floor is made of stone which is in character of all the village houses. Door leads from the living room to the kitchen which is equipped with cooker (gas), fridge/freezer, cooking utensils - pots & pans, serving dishes etc.
Upstairs we have two bedroom - one sleeps 2 and the other 3 persons; there are 2 double and 1 single beds. A four-piece Italian bath-suite which consist of shower cubicle, face basin, toilet and bidet.
All windows looks out towards the mountain ranges (Apennines) and the house is South facing. Outside space consist of a paved area just in front of the hous...

About the neighbourhood
Monti di Villa is one of the higher villages in Bagni di Lucca at almost 600 metres above sea level. It is made up of 3 hamlets…Lugnano - the highest; Bugnano - the abandoned village; and Riolo. Today about 100 people live in Monti di Villa. Lugnano, which is signposted Monti di Villa, sits along a ridge with mountains forming an impressive backdrop. A narrow path winds its way through the village. On one side of the village there are views across Bagni di Lucca, other hill villages are visible in the distance.
In Monti di Villa the 15th of August is the celebrated the feast day of the “Assunta” and on the 16th after mass the statue of Our Lady is brought down from the alter.
