Teriang House consisted of two double storey Classic wooden Chinese fisherman's houses on its original site of over 150 years old. It is now a private villa of heritage significance, a lovingly restored home with modern comforts of airconditioning and fans throughout the house. Much of the originsl features of the architecture of its kind distinctive of the time it was built is restored and repaired and turned into an occasional holiday home for international travellers seeking the ' off the beaten tracks' experince living in an old fisherman's village amongst mini jungle nature and the seashore all roll into one. Felt like we were looking a typical chinese fishermen house.. Modernized house and mix of antique and modern amenities..Fishing nearby is must do activity.. loved the food there. Also don't miss the street food.. Enjoyed it

About the neighbourhood
Once a Chinese fisherman's village of 150 years ago where they fish for anchovies (ikan bilis) now predominantly Malay fishing village. Squid fishing in the seasons, mesmerizing green lights off the horizon are from the fisherman's squid boats. New Jetty outside for sunrise and sunset and jogging is great around the kampungs and fishing village, full of local eateries and lively activities, fresh coconut drinks, Ikan Bakar and nasi lemak besides over 3 Chinese seafood restaurants, Western and Malay, Middle east food too.
Getting around
Just 2 minutes off the main road of Pantai Kok, turn right to the airport and Padang Matsirat, turn left go north of the island towards Telaga Jetty (for Ko Lipe), Telaga Harbour Marina and restaurants, Skycab, 3D art museum, Oriental Village, Equestrian stable. Mat Cingcang range, Zipline and Adventure trekking... Continue onwards to The Datai, ELS Golf Club, Waterfall, and the Skull Beach, onwards to the Black Sand beach, Four Seasons and the Tanjung Rhu beaches etc.
