Comfy, clean and great location
We loved Wensleydale House and the town of Leyburn. The house is a couple of minutes walk from the very pretty town with a great selection of shops and eating places. There is an excellent park 10mins walk away with great play equipment for all ages and the best views I have seen on any play area. The house has everything you will need and plenty of space for our group of nine. The beds and sofas were very comfortable, lots of car parking space and amazing views.

Great house, great location
We stayed at the house as part of a cycling weekend and it didn't disappoint. A great base for cycling in the area with good routes to Hawes, Buttertubs and Masham. The house was well equipped and really spacious, easily enough room for the five of us (cycling friends) and within an easy few minutes walking distance of local shops and pubs in Leyburn centre. We were provided with secure lock up for our bikes and the cake and cheese that greeted us when we arrived was most welcome. I'd definitely go back and stay again, this time taking my family.

Fantastic house and hosts
We hired the house as my Nephew was getting married in Leyburn. The house, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodated all our family with ease. Alex, the host, was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Our 17 month old grandson was with us and everything from cot to stair gates were provided, which was a great help. The house even had a toy corner in one of the bedrooms, which was amazing. The house is perfectly situated, with only a 2 minute walk to the centre of Leyburn. We cant wait to return!

Perfect base for exploring Wensleydale & Swaledale
Alex was a great host - dealing with changing guest numbers, changing arrival times and a number of queries in a prompt and helpful manner.
We ended up only being a group of 4 singles but the house would easily accommodate many more persons.
Only a couple of minutes walk from the shops and pubs in the town centre.

Great place
Stayed in one of their Airbnb rooms. Absolutely brilliant. The facilities (and the decor) are great. The host is really helpful. They are an artist and the house is, in effect, part guest house, part gallery. Leyburn market square is a short walk away.

Late Christmas
Our family got together in Leyburn for a belated combined Christmas. The rental was a good choice. There is parking for two cars. The children loved their bedroom.

Great location
We visited Wensleydale House to visit and event in Leyburn and it was perfectly located just a short 5 minute walk from the town.
This large house has a very relaxed feel to it and is very well equipped for all age groups with everything you might need from pots and pans to toys.
There are two en-suite bedrooms, a small bathroom on the 2nd floor and a useful extra loo downstairs.
The views from the front bedroom of the three peaks are lovely and the front garden has two seats and is a very pleasantplace for a relaxing rest.
Owners Alex and Denise live in the property next door and are available if needed but otherwise are not intrusive.

Great for groups
We really enjoyed out stay. The house was very comfortable, spacious and nicely furnished. it is extremely well stocked with plenty of kitchenware and crockery for large groups of visitors.
It is in an excellent location, 5 minutes from the amenities in Leyburn, with lovely walks on the doorstep and many places to visit a short drive away.
Denise was very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely return.

Excellent holiday home
Beautiful house in a great location for exploring the area, perfect for a trip to Forbidden corner. The house had all the facilities we needed to accommodate a large family group ranging from 1 year upwards. Excellent hosts. Would definitely return.

Perfect family holiday
We had a wonderful holiday and the house was our home from home. We have some very special memories to treasure. The house and location were perfect for us. Many, many thanks. The house was so well equipped, catering for all our ages from 86 to 2, within a family party of 10. The baby and children equipment included optional: bed guards; stair gates for doors; cot; highchairs, great toys; great books and lots more. The adult facilities were likewise excellent, with a well equipped kitchen that did not leave us wanting for anything. The house and owners were welcoming. (Loved the art work too and all the little touches.) Very well thought out.

The town itself offers a wide range of interesting independent shops where excellent local produce can be purchased. You will be spoilt for choice in this area with its award winning restaurants and gastro pubs, where you can indulge yourself in excellent cuisine and sample the renowned local ales. <BR><BR>Being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park you also have many excellent walks to enjoy. There are no end of attractions in this beautiful area including gardens, timeless villages to explore, castles, abbeys. Of particular note are Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls, the "Forbidden Corner", Masham and the Richmond Georgian Theatre, which are all within 10 miles of Leyburn
