About the neighbourhood
Portmagee has many great walks and spectacular views. There are boat trips from Portmagee to the Skelligs Rock where the early Monks lived hundreds of years ago. This is available in the summer months. The Skelligs Experience which is worth a visit gives a history of what life was like living on the rock. It is worth a visit to Valentia Ireland for more spectacular views. There is horse riding available in the summer months a short distance away from Portmagee. Ballinskelligs beach and Waterville beaches are a short drive away. It is worth taking a trip to the chocolate factory and tasting the delicious chocolate. Trips to see how the chocolate is made is also available by appointment.
