The Roundhouse is an attached cottage dating back to the 15th century. Part of a set of converted farm buildings set in peaceful and tranquil mid Devon. Children big and small will love playing in the garden and around our smallholding with sheep, chickens, ducks, pigs and other animals. The Roundhouse has far reaching views to Dartmoor and across the beautiful rolling Devon countryside. The Roundhouse is open plan downstairs with a fitted kitchen and cosy woodburner as well as underfloor heating. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a large family room with king size and single beds and a smaller twin room. The bathroom, also upstairs, has a bath with electric shower over it. The kitchen is well equipped and we live next door so can lend anything else that you need whilst staying us. The cottage has its own patio and shares the walled and secure garden with our other cottage, the Stable. Children's equipment such as cot, high chair and toys can be provided as required. The kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, washer dryer, oven, hob, microwave and all the equipment you could need. Anything else and we are right next door to lend whatever you need! We offer free Wifi, although because of our remote location the service cannot be guaranteed and the speed may be slower than you are used to.More

About the neighbourhood
Mid Devon is really quite and peaceful, there is little traffic, even in the peak of Summer. You might encounter a tractor or cows on the lanes around us but not much more! We have far reaching views from the cottages to Dartmoor, about half an hour's drive away, and we are less than an hour's drive from the beautiful North Devon beaches. Our village has a great and highly recommended pub, the London Inn, and a lovely award winning shop. You can walk from here to either of them in about 30-40 minutes. There are 45 miles of footpaths in the village area, we can advise or provide maps if you need.
Getting around
A car is essential, although the tarka train line from Exeter to Barnstaple is around 3 miles away and a bus to Exeter passes about 10 minutes walk from here. The roads are not busy, but are mostly single track with passing places.
