The property is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, with many of France's famous Châteaux within easy reach. The area is steeped in history with the 'demarcation line' of the French Resistance only 4km away and the philosopher René Descartes - 'I think therefore I am' lived in the Village of Descartes where his house has been turned into a museum. For the more active visitor then there is a activity centre in Descartes with swimming pool, kayaking and various other activities. If you are interested in wine then its a great base to explore the many vineyards in the region, from Chinion to Saumur. cot and high chair available with prior notice.
