Nestled in the heart of the South Side wineries, PEPPERS BRIDGE Vacation Cottage features a stand-alone, 500 square foot countryside Guest Cottage/Suite with picturesque views of neighboring vineyards and the Blue Mountains. Majestic trees border the grounds. Out back you will find a private, spacious deck overlooking 200' of meandering Yellow Hawk Creek with patio seating, while inside the wood burning fireplace and cozy studio invoke rest and relaxation. This European-like setting is just minutes away from wineries either by foot, bicycle, or car. This is a great location for bicycle rides and/or leisurely walks! 4 Complimentary Bicycles: 3 'His' and 'Hers' 7 speed cruiser style bicycles and 1 Standard Model, make this a terrific option for countryside rides or touring the nearby wineries right from your own front door! Easy access to amenities and downtown attractions coupled with shady-tree, rural ambiance provides the perfect mix for get-a-way seclusion and convenience. The suite has: WiFi (recently enhanced); an Entertainment Center: 32'TV monitor (AIR TV-local channels); Sony Internet Audio & Video Blu-ray Disc/DVD player with built -in Wireless LAN for NetFlix...; several indoor/outdoor sitting areas; a QUEEN-sized bed with a plush, memory foam mattress; the Murphy-style lifts to expand living area during day hours. The sofa opens up to a double/full bed size with a comfy memory 4” foam topper, perfect for an extra person/family member: a portable, privacy divider can be added to separate sleeping areas. There is a 3 piece bathroom (note amenities) and complimentary His & Hers robes. The kitchenette includes stove top burners, microwave oven, ice-maker, Keurig coffeemaker with K-cups, sugar, creamer…. A convention oven completes the equipment, but for those who desire to do some serious meals on their own is a Wolfgang Puck oven. Then, there is always the Webber BBQ/grill. Reviews RE BREAKFAST: Please note some reviewers include breakfast details. Some guests book directly to our own website which includes breakfast offerings, and these guests can post comments via Trip Advisor. Those wishing a breakfast option delivered to the front door can make arrangements with the proprietors at booking or upon check-in for a nominal extra fee. CYCLIST'S PARADISE: Bicycle to the surrounding wineries: many will deliver your selections to the suite before departure day. The south side winery loop is approximately 14 miles, but 6 different routes range from 16 to 50 miles. Bicycle Maps available in the suite or email hosts for online information. Bicycle baskets enable you to carry wine selections to the Suite or some wineries will deliver your selections before your departure. Guests have access to the grounds, deck, patio furniture, wet bar, medley of interior/exterior 'mood' lighting options, patio deck heater, outdoor grill, fire pit, wood for fireplace, any kitchen equipment, board games (by request). A Guest Manual with operating instructions for appliances, dishes, utensils, visitor guides/maps, as well as a safety kit and instruction is located in the Suite. Cindy is happy to provide you with any information about current community happenings, restaurant recommendations, or other 'How-To' find events. BEVERAGES: Although we do not have liquor license to serve alcohol at this point, guests are welcome to bring and enjoy any beverages of their choosing. PETS/ANIMALS: Owners have a few pets such as free range, exotic ducks and chickens located on a corner of the property – opposite and away from the Cottage. However, since the creek flows along the north boundary, the ducks will swim on the Yellowhawk from Peppers Bridge to Old Milton Bridge, occasionally wandering across the front lawn to return to the water. (This is the main reason we have a NO pet policy at this point.) We value your privacy and will usually be out of sight unless guests have questions or would like to chat over their getaway plans/ideas. For ideas and insights to the best of the community, Cindy is always a text, email, or phone call away to help you with your pre-planning and provide you with information to make your getaway adventure as full and meaningful as possible. Whether you are seeking the Valley's wine tasting experiences, special events, an anniversary/honeymoon get-a-way, or simply a well-deserved vacation, you will appreciate the hospitality and lodging amenity options found here at The Cottage. Privacy, amenity accessibility, and location ambiance makes this place a real catch! WELCOME.... To a place where woes are forgotten, and problems can never be found. Where tranquility takes its place, in this quiet, country town. The fire casts a friendly glow, while the stream reflects the moon. You've finally found a welcome escape and we hope to see you soon! House Rules *We trust that guests will make themselves at home and treat the property contents as they would their own. Our Cottage offers privacy mixed with lifestyle independence. Cindy is available to direct guests to appropriate amenities, but tries to stay out-of-sight so guests have a sense of their own home and space. *Any meal prep or take out/eat-in requires guests washing own dishes. *Smoking allowed outdoors. *Friends/family members welcome to visit. *No cleaning Fees! AND check out is simple: guests are responsible for cleaning any dishes they use, towels are placed in the hamper provided, but all bedding is left in place. Getting around
Car is still the best way to get around this small city quickly. But, the local public transit hub is at Walmart, which is a short, scenic walk fro the property. From there you can connect/travel to any significant area of Walla Walla. Then, there are always the local taxis which are very reasonable because you can get to most anywhere in town within 10-15 minutes: cards are in the Cottage. If time is not critical, travel around town is very possible with our bicycles as many former guests have verified!
