Chateau Bienville is a vacation rental apartment located in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter - just 1/2 block off Bourbon Street & 2 blocks into the Quarter from the Canal street car lines. The apartment is in a newly renovated historic warehouse with great amenities. It is fully equipped and stocked with everything to make you feel like you are in a 'home away from home' while enjoying your New Orleans vacation.

This apartment has one closed Queen bedroom with a small hall that houses a laundry and full bath. The other Queen bed is in a small alcove off the living area - closed on 3 sides but open to the living area on one. There is a large comfy sectional that can sleep a 5th guest.

You will use a code at the front gate and a lock box on the apartment door to access the property. However HELP is just a phone call away. My assistant is at the property daily and lives very close. I can be reached by phone most anytime. Anything you need during your stay can be taken care of in a timely manner. We can answer any questions you may have or make suggestions for things to do.

This nice 2 bedroom condo is the perfect choice for staying in the French Quarter. It's right off of bourbon street and centrally located to just about everything. The space is the perfect size and the location was GREAT! 2 blocks from Canal (and the streetcar which is only $3/day with a Jazzy Pass), .1/2 block from Bourbon (which means it can be loud). and about 6 blocks from the river. The French Quarter is 6 blocks by 12 blocks. You can walk to everything the city has to offer from this location. Bourbon Street is the most well known and is 1/2 block away from your front door. Bourbon is closed to traffic at night - used for pedestrians only. One block over is Royal Street known for its shopping and antiques. Royal Street is closed to traffic during the day and for pedestrians only. You can find live Jazz; great restaurants; and lots of shopping on Royal Street. Decatur Street runs along the Mississippi River and is home to Jackson Square; the French Market; and Cafe du Mond. The French Market has local produce and handmade crafts among other items for sale. Getting around
You can walk to most everything from this location - restaurants; bars; clubs; live music; shopping; tourist attractions; museums; etc. A car is not recommended in the French Quarter as it is difficult to drive and park. However there is a public parking garage attached to the building if you are driving in. If you are going a little farther in the city the street cars are 2 blocks away; convention shuttle and FQ shuttle 1/2 block; and there are bike taxis and regular taxis on every corner.

It is best to fly into Louis Armstrong International Airport - MSY - and then taxi directly to the property in the French Quarter. The airport is fairly small and you get your baggage quickly. There are 2 taxi stands outside of baggage claim with both cars and vans. Taxis have a set rate to the FQ. Standard rate is approximately $35.

You can walk to everything in the French Quarter or take public transportation so there is no need for a car. Driving and parking in the Quarter are difficult. But if you are driving in there is a secure public parking garage attached to the building that has competitive rates. Standard rate for 24 hour parking in the Quarter is approximately $35.
