Lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in quiet, residential Uptown neighborhood convenient to everything.
Newly renovated with hardwood floors, eleven foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central air and heat, wireless internet, 37' LCD HD flat screen TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, balcony overlooking charming New Orleans street. Parking available on street.

The apartment is on the second floor of a Victorian house. You enter into the living room which is open to the dining area and the kitchen. In the front of the house is one bedroom which opens onto the balcony. In the back is the second bedroom. Enjoyed our stay. The rental is charming and convenient to places to eat, and the street car. Very clean and everything we needed provided. No problem with street parking and quiet neighbors. Hope to return next year.

About the neighbourhood
We are located in the Uptown area of New Orleans in a lovely residential area but we are close to many restaurants and shops. There are two coffee cafes just a block away, two blocks to Charlie' Steak House, and three to Pascale Manale. You can also walk to Freret Street which has a great variety of restaurants as well as Magazine Street for food and shopping. We are six blocks to a small grocery store, a CVS, a bank, and a couple of great restaurants and ice cream/frozen yogurt places.
Getting around
We are three blocks to the St Charles Street car which will take you down to the French Quarter in about 20 minutes or so. It will also take you to the World War II Museum, the Aquarium, the Insectorium, and much more. If you take it uptown, it is a 10 minute ride to Loyola University, Tulane University, Audubon Park where the zoo is, Oak Street with a number of restaurants.

We are about 20 minutes from the airport. We are three blocks from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar. Parking is available on the street and except for Mardi Gras, never a problem finding a space.
