'10 us us stayed in the Taylor Manor for our annual Ladies Reunion. The location was perfect. When we weren't walking about the city, we spent our evenings enjoying the hot tub, grill and the twinkle lights in the Courtyard. It was hard to decide between going out to eat... or cooking in the kitchen! Your attention to detail and the comfortable beds and furnishings made our time spent at the house completely relaxing. This beautiful home made great, clean, relaxing accommodations for a couples trip celebrating my husbands birthday!! Close to many places to dine and St John the Baptist Cathederal, Clary's, Js Garage and so much more!! A great place to gather and enjoy the company before walking around the town!

I love the you enjoyed walking to all those restaurants and sights :). I have to figure out where Js Garage is though...so many new places pop up all the time that even though I live right next door to the Manor (cause who DOESN'T want to actually live in the downtown historic district?!)...I haven't yet heard of that place....

My sisters and best friends planned a weekend getaway in Savannah and stayed at Taylor Manor. We could not have had a better stay at the house. We were greeted by Suzanne, who was so wonderfully nice, and she showed us a map and pointed to all the best places in town. The house is only a short walk from...

Located in the original GA colony established in 1763 ( now known as the Landmark Historic District), the Taylor Manor was built in 1870. It consists of three- stories, 4 BR/2.5BA. In 2001, the Manor was lovingly restored by the current owner. owners family lived in the Manor chose to allow others to enjoy their gem of a home and turned it into a vacation rental. The furnished courtyard of the Manor opens onto the rear driveway, is filled with lush foliage. The Courtyard a bilevel deck allowing for seating in the upper veranda along with seating also at the umbrella table and chairs on the concrete patio below. Getting around
Pedicabs (bicycle cabs for 1-2 people)
You just walk to everything. It takes 30- 35 min to walk from one end of the downtown historic district to the other. If you divide the downtown historic district into quadrants, the Manor is in the southeast section. River Street is 7/10 of a mile north. The squares are all around you with all their cafes, restaurants, museums, stores. The Manor is one block from Whitfield Square. Forsyth Park is 3 blocks south. Beasley park's one block east.
CAT (Chatham Transit Bus) goes to outside parts of Savannah.
DOT trolley/buses is a free downtown only transit system. Look it up online -Savannah DOT.
Grab a cab (will need to pre-call. they don't troll the city or downtown liken NYC etc).
