When this historic home came on the market in 2013, we fell in love with the charm and character of the house as well as the historic significance of the property. According to the September 6, 1892 edition of the Gettysburg Compiler, 'Contractor Joseph J. Smith is building a two story brick residence for the Culp heirs near the Methodist Episcopal Church'. The B. Catherine Culp home is within walking distance to all the 'good eats' & shops that are around the 'hub' of Gettysburg. Owners, Wendy & Larry provided all the 'creature comforts' & everything was clean and fresh. We didn't need all three (3) bedrooms,...More

Built for the Culp heirs (1892), this historic colonial style two story brick home is located across from the prestigious Gas Light Inn Bed and Breakfast and the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) building in the Old Town/Historic District of downtown Gettysburg. Guests of the B. Catherine Culp House are within one block (an easy walk) of the center of Gettysburg and attractions such as the Wills House and the Lincoln Train Station as well as fine dining and shopping. The Freedom Transit Trolley is available half-a-block from the house and provides, free of charge, a quick and easy transportation option to the Gettysburg Visitors Center, museums and other points of interest including the battlefield, Gettysburg College and Lutheran Theological Seminary.
