The room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. Neighborhood was quiet. Hosts Wally and Susan were very responsive and friendly. They provided for all my needs/wants: WiFi, A/C, TV, good light for reading, plenty of towels etc., and breakfast, with cookies and tea/coffee available all day. I didn't notice any noise from other rooms. A bonus was the interesting conversation at breakfast with other guests.

The street is very pleasant with trees and harmonious buildings. Street parking was fine. Train was my choice for getting to the city center, but I used Uber to get back late at night. Seniors pay $1 for the train, if the conductor bothers to collect it. If being a little out of the city center is okay with you, and you like the feel of a historic house, this is a great place to stay.

Management response:

We love having guests like Alice. We hope you come back and visit us again

We spent one night here for a graduation. Accommodations were really nice. Host (Wally) was friendly and helpful. You can see he cares about the place. Food was good too. Beds were comfy. We did not have time on this trip, but I think you could spend a nice day walking around the area. I recommend the place. We had two rooms on the second floor.
