Akala Pua is just a short walk past four houses to the ocean at Poipu's Hoai Bay. Poipu's Baby Beach is just a 3 minute stroll, and Poipu's Lawai Beach is just a 4 minute stroll. Baby Beach is a beautiful small white sand beach with knee-deep water and no waves. Lawai Beach is also a white sand beach with deeper water and excellent snorkeling, plus three world-class surfing breaks.
