Comfortable, cosy, quiet, self catering log cabin in Kirkcudbrightshire within Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Situated within Barend Holiday Village, Sandytoes Log Cabin is just a two minute walk from the beautiful Sandyhills beach. The area is famous for its many golf courses, and excellent mountain biking trails. Both the cabin and the site are dog friendly, as well as the local area. Great Cabin - finished to a very high standard. Some lovely added bits from the owner - really helpful (biscuits etc) Short walk to the beach which was ideal for children - paddling more than swimming. Some good cliff walks nearby.

About the neighbourhood
Southwest Scotland is famous for its breathtaking scenery, with acres of rolling hills and lush green forests just waiting to be explored. There are many popular bike rides here, including the famous 7Stanes round through nearby Dalbeattie Forest. The area is also a golfing haven! There are many golf courses to try, including Colvend Golf Club (2 minutes up the road) where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Solway Coast during your round. We are lucky enough to be a hop skip and a jump from Sandyhills beach - such a well kept secret which often means it feels like your own private beach! Doggy visitors also get the chance to feel the sand between their toes as this beach is dog friendly.
Getting around
There are so many wonderful places to visit in the surrounding area. A sat nav is really useful to help navigate your journey.
