The accommodation is in one wing of this L-shaped house, the other wing being occupied by the owners.
Converted from the original farm buildings of the Cortijo, 'El Corralón' comprises 6/7 chalet-style en-suite rooms sleeping up to 14, arranged around a secluded courtyard. It has its own kitchen, outside BBQ and Dining Patio. Room 5, which has its own private patio, is normally arranged as a sitting room with a comfortable double sofa-bed. Additional Cots or Folding Beds for children, plus high-chairs and other basic essentials can also be provided on request.

About the neighbourhood
Coín is our local town, which is about 7K from the rural hamlet of Carranque. It is a medium-sized market town which has been relatively untouched by tourism, and is therefore still an authentic Spanish working town. It has an attractive central square dominated by the lovely church of San Juan el Bautisto, where one can relax with a beer and watch Spanish life just happening all around.

Town life revolves around its fiestas and cultural events, throughout the year, including Easter and other religious parades, the renowned New Year street parties, the Horse Fair in March, and the Orange Festival in May. For its size the town is surprisingly cosmopolitan, so there are ample shops, bars restaurants and clubs to suit most people's requirements.

Cortijo Carranque is in the rural hamlet of Carranque, in the Rio Grande Valley between Coín and Alozaina, in an area known on some maps as 'Las Huertas'. It is about 45 mins. drive from Málaga airport , which is well served with frequent, inexpensive flights from the UK and all over Europe. Car hire is recommended as there is no public transport at Carranque, and most of the known and trusted car hire companies are available from Málaga airport. We can also offer a “meet and greet” service at the airport if required.
