Our creekside cottage is more than 200 years old with three floors. It has a lovely screened porch for outdoor dining, full kitchen with utensils, and is decorated with antiques and local art. There grounds feature a large private lawn and sitting areas beside the Batesville creek.
The kitchen and living room are open plan with lots of windows and light. A screened eating porch faces the grounds and creek. The master bedroom is on the second floor with creek views. Please note that the third floor is a loft-style bedroom with two twin beds. There is one bathroom in the cottage, accessible through the master bedroom. Please note there is very little privacy between these rooms.

Across the street on Plank Road, The Batesville Market is a 100-year old historic country store. It is currently closed during the week for a revamp, but still hosts local music, food and drinks on Saturday nights. Check their website for events schedule.

Parking is available along Plank Road in front of the cottage, and in the Batesville Market parking lot across the street. Downtown Charlottesville, Monticello and most area wineries/breweries are within 25 minutes drive. Crozet, Waynesboro, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail are within 15 minutes.
