Lovely sunset in the backyard with a view of the dome of the capital and Camel's Hump mountain.
First floor queen bedroom has morning light, and a/c in the summer.
First floor queen bedroom is off the kitchen.

The room has a queen bed and a double bed, and a closet unit for clothes storage.
The 1st floor bathroom is well-lit and has lots of things you may have forgotten in the cupboards!
There is a nice window right next to the shower, for a breeze to come in and air the room.
This is the second floor apartment landing area.
Second Floor landing has lots of books and games.
Second floor landing makes for privacy of the king bedroom, which is separate from the two queens.
Second Floor King bedroom gets afternoon sunlight and has a/c in the summer.
There are lovely antiques to complement the historic charm of the house.
The second floor queen bedroom can also be outfitted with a small cot - this in nice for children.
There is large walk-in closet and 4 windows. The room has a/c during summer months.

Our front door is original to the house, which dates back to the Civil War.
The house is lovely in the fall months. Foliage season is a popular time in Vermont!

This House is a fully updated Civil War Infirmary building right near the VCFA, the college green and a 10 minute walk downtown to the nation's smallest capital. There are fresh flowers, charming antiques, wood floors, super-comfortable beds, two complete kitchens and full baths (one up and one down), and lots of books and games.
Downtown Montpelier is always hopping, with live music, festivals, Vermont local brews and farm-to-table restaurants, and eclectic shops. Two short blocks away is a big green for kicking a ball around or throwing a frisbee.
The street is quiet and kid-friendly, in a safe neighborhood with beautiful homes all around.
The backyard is a destination in itself, with a spectacular view of downtown and the gold dome of the capital with Camel's Hump mountain beyond.

About the neighbourhood
Montpelier is a fun place in and of itself, but also central to see many famous sites. Burlington and Lake Champlain are a must while you are here, Hanover and Quiche Gorge, historic Woodstock, Warren and Waitsfield, and even Montreal are easy day trips.
Getting around
The City Circuit bus stops in front of the house regularly, so many people don't rent a car while here who are at residency programs for VCFA.
I can pick you up from BTV easily if you need a ride!
There is easy and trekking on foot here in town.

We are very easy to find, a 5 minute drive from exit 8 off Interstate 89. BOS Boston is a 3 hour drive, MHT Manchester NH 2 hours, BTV Burlington, VT is 35 minutes.
