If you like town or country exploring, choose either the fascinating assortment of shops just 400m away, and the Parks Victoria Gold Trail that joins up the goldfield relics. Go for a ride on sthe steam train across the road. Enjoy the cafes and pubs of Maldon, the large number of artists and musicians that live and work locally, and the wineries, breweries and markets. You can climb Mount Tarrengower or the Nuggetys from Fairbank, or have a swim in Lake Cairn Curran to the south of the mount. Maldon's an hour and a half up the freeway from Melbourne's Tullamarine airport and central to a wide range of attractions. Come and find the centre of Victoria's Goldfields and enjoy your country house comforts on your return.

This house is beautifully designed & decorated. Beautifully rooms and landscape. Very peaceful location and so close to the local shops. Great communication with the owner and very accommodating to individual needs. A must see and stay place here at Fairbanks house. A wonderful experience. Thanks.

Very welcoming and comfortable
The house is ideal for relaxing and getting away from the city. You can't help be impressed with the attention to detail - nice towels, great bedding and flowers etc throughout the house.
Really enjoyed the fireplace in the living area as it provides a central focus.
My only suggestion would be a 'house guide' as we struggled to work out heating. We also couldn't get Foxtel to connect and had trouble with the modem for WIFI. Once the heating was working and we got WIFI, we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

absolutely perfect, great set up to wine & dine with friends
This place had everything you require, from a lovely dining room to sit with friends, two outdoor areas, afternoons sitting in the gazebo to breakfast outside the kitchen. Kitchen had everything to offer, and to have three bedrooms with three bathrooms what more could you ask for. Loved our stay, great for a girls weekend

First Class Accommodation
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Fairbank House Maldon, Victoria. This is really a lovely place to stay. The house is set on a large block and embraces the old and the modern. It has been lovingly restored to enhance the beauty of the old and the convenience of the modern. Beautifully decorated inside with an impressive attention to detail in every aspect. Very cosy and comfortable, specially with the open fire which we thoroughly enjoyed on the cold nights. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a stay in the historic town of Maldon.

Fantastic property!
Visited Maldon / Fairbank house with my partner over the ALF grand final weekend, This property is well kept, gardens are beautiful and the house has everything you need. Easy sleep for 6 guests, all mod cons, wireless internet, BBQ etc. Thank you for an amazing weekend away!

Home away from home
Stayed here for two nights as a birthday gift for a friend. We were delighted with the comforts and set up of this wonderful home. It is tastefully decorated and has everything you need to make yourself at home. We each had beautiful spacious bedrooms and there was a third room with twin beds as well. Enjoyed our Maldon experience very much!
