About the neighbourhood
The St Davids area makes a good base from which to explore all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. Granted city status on 1st June 1995 by Queen Elizabeth II because of the presence of the Cathedral, St Davids is in reality a small attractive village, situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, it is surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery renowned for its beauty and abundance of wildlife. St Davids Cathedral has been the dominant presence since the 12th century and was a popular pilgrimage destination throughout the middle ages and remains so to this day attracting thousands of visitors every year.
