We are situated in a secluded and peaceful location within a few minutes drive from blue flag beaches. Nestled in the south west corner of the Isle of Anglesey the Owl Barn is ideal for the those wanting to simply relax and/or have fun with the many activities on offer.<BR>There is a small woodland to wander through and also enjoy wonderful sunset estuary sea views.<BR><BR>The Owl Barn amenities are fully explained on our website - however if you need more information please contact us.<BR>We are centrally located for visiting númerous castles, Snowdonia national Park, the Anglesey Coastal path walks and even a day trip to Ireland. On or off road cycling, horse riding and boating (power boats, fishing, sailing, kayaking etc) are in very easy reach and bikes can be delivered to your doo...

Beautiful Location
I've been holidaying in Anglesey for 50 years and have clocked up 30+ visits, The Owl Barn (House in the Yard) is top of my list and we will be planning a return trip soon. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped accommodation with private gardens and woodland - absolutely beautiful setting! 10 mins to Newborough and central enough to explore the whole island. The grandchildren loved it too!

Lovely cottage with private walled garden
Easy to find and only a short drive to Newborough Forest and the stunning beach with mountain views. Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughter and we loved getting back at the end of the day to get cosy. Woodpecker Cottage is one room but it feels very spacious and light and has everything you need. The garden is lovely and the whole place feels very peaceful. Delyth kindly suggested we take home some fruit from the many trees - we made a pear and apple crumble with it when we got home! We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful Cottage
We have just returned from a 4 night stay in Owl Barn the 2 bedroom property. It’s a beautiful house with a downstairs shower room, hallway huge living room and huge dining kitchen. Everything you need and more has been provided.
It is in a beautiful spot approximately 20 minutes to most destinations.
The only tiny downside was the lack of privacy in the kitchen which is overlooked by the garden for the cottage next door but this is only a TINY downside to an otherwise beautiful place to stay.

Perfect family holiday
Mark and Libby have created a perfect retreat for families. We were made so welcome and loved our lemon drizzle cake on arrival. There is something for everyone in the owl barn. Our boys had a fantastic time exploring the wood and the treehouse and playing games in the owl barn We had a great time, the owl barn is a beautiful and relaxing property and we can’t wait to go back again.

Restful location, wonderful views, clean and spacious cottage
We've just returned from a superb week at The Owl Barn. Libby and Mark were welcoming and hospitable and we appreciated the delicious cake and fresh eggs on arrival. The cottage was the perfect holiday home: spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. We loved the peaceful location and gorgeous views, and our 8 year-old loved having lots of outside space to run around and play in. This is a great base for exploring the surrounding area (just a short drive to Newborough forest and beach for example). We arrived home completely recharged and we would thoroughly recommend The Owl Barn for a wonderful break.

Luxurious stay in beautiful Angelsey
Thank you Libby & Mark ! We had a fabulous stay in your House In The Yard earlier this month.... the house was perfect, clean, quiet, luxurious & spacious. Fab kitchen, all appliances new & hardly used. Bedrooms & bathrooms great, living areas, lounge & dining room perfect. Gardens lovely & well maintained even had a barbeque on the equipment provided...sorry Mark borrowed a few briquettes & forgot to replace them! would love to vist again, just wish it wasnt 41/2 hours drive from London ! Best part of the area for us was Newborough Beach only five mins from the house.

An excellent house, lovely hosts and ideal base
We had a lovely and restorative 4-night break at the Owl Barn. The property is spacious and nicely decorated with a lovely airy, well-equipped kitchen and massive lounge. The outdoor space was excellent too. Our 2-year old had a wonderful time exploring the garden and woodland area. We loved sitting outside to drink our morning coffee in the sunshine!
The location is a perfect base for exploring Anglesey’s many lovely beaches and Snowdonia is not too far away either. Mark and Libby are very welcoming hosts and have clearly put a lot of care and effort into restoring the farm. We definitely recommend!

Another lovely visit!
Eight of us rented two of the lovely cottages for a special "foodie" weekend. It was a return visit for four of us and new to our four guests. As previously we received a warm welcome from Libby and Mark. The cottages are of a very high standard being both clean, well furnished and spacious. Although it is not within their normal remit we enjoyed the home baked cakes and breakfast (delivered on both mornings) - a relieve after being out dining in two very good restaurants short taxi drives from our accommodation. Throughout our visit Libby and Mark ensured that everything was organised and nothing was too mush trouble. Friday afternoon the weather was lovely so we all enjoyed a walk on the magnificent beach (ten minutes drive away) and in the bitter cold of Saturday enjoyed an informative and warm time at the Halen Mon factory tour. House in The Yard is a lovely retreat away from the stresses of work and a excellent place to set of exploring all that the area offers.

Luxury Anglesey Retreat
What a lovely quiet location for our week in Anglesey. Mark & Libby made us feel very welcome & we especially enjoyed the homemade lemon cake & fresh eggs.
The barn is so well equipped that we couldn't wait to get back and relax after a day out exploring the island. Holly our Labrador enjoyed the garden and saying hello to the chickens.

Brilliant base on Anglesey
We booked the Owl Barn for the weekend to enjoy some quiet time at the end of term with our son who is studying at Bangor. Mark and Libby were very welcoming and kept us supplied with logs, walking tips and anecdotes to support all the hard work they have put in to make this a special place to stay. Yet again Sawday has got it right. The Owl Barn is very spacious for four. We also managed to invite a group of our son's friends back for supper and fitted nine of us round the table happily, then it was back to cosy relaxing time by the Jotul log fire. And the dog loved it too, especially the long walk across Newborough Beach and out to the Pilots Cottages at the tip of the Island of the Blessed. Top tip for anyone who owns, or is thinking of owning a Tesla. Mark and Libby have just installed the first electric vehicle charging point at a cottage on Anglesey. What better place to re-charge - self, or vehicle!:-) We'll be back!
