About the neighbourhood
Cemaes Bay sits in the middle of the North Anglesey Coast. To the west is Cemlyn nature reserve which has been described as ‘the jewel in the crown’ of Anglesey’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In the summer, the stars of the show are terns engaged in courtship displays and feeding their young but the reserve is home to a wealth of life - birds, mammals, insects, wildflowers and marine creatures. Further along the A5025, Church Bay (Porth Swtan) has magnificent views, a curving beach and attractive cliffs, the Wavecrest Café and the oldest preserved cottage on Anglesey. To the east is Amlwch, an ancient port that became part of the ‘Copper Kingdom’ along with the nearby Parys Mountain. The Anglesey Coastal Path extends right the way
