Welcome to Hen Gamdda Fawr, an inviting and beautifully presented double fronted farmhouse character cottage situated in the peaceful hamlet of Marianglas just outside Benllech. The downstairs rooms blend nicely together having matching inglenook fireplaces (one of which houses an attractive multi-fuel cast iron stove) and beamed ceilings (one of which is vaulted), both with solid wood flooring. The dining table can seat 6 people. The lounge is equipped with Smart TV, AV amp with Bluetooth and Airplay for music playback. The country style kitchen is fully fitted with a Belfast sink supported by two rustic limestone pillars, built-in oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer and free standing microwave with an array of utensils. The traditional and decorative bathroom/wet room has a freestanding rolled edge claw footed bath with shower and an eye-catching aqua marine mosaic tiled floor! The main bedroom is impressive with its sense of space, enhanced by the lovely vaulted beamed ceiling with an en-suite shower room. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds with removable ladder and is accessed from the top of the stairs, opposite the master bedroom. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge that can pull out if required. A curtain can be pulled across to separate the lounge from the dining room. Free, fast internet is provided for streaming services. The cottage is equipped with books, board games, travel cot, high chair and stair gate. Bed linen, towels, heating, WiFi and a ready made fire on arrival is all included in the price. No additional guest booking fees to pay :) The outside gravelled/ decked space is ample to sit outside and relax, eat or play, with private parking for 3 cars. Outdoor furniture is available to use. The cottage is set away from the main road. Hen Gamdda Fawr is full of charm and a warm welcome awaits you. There is a traditional pub within 3 minutes walk with a pool table and large roaring fire. The 4 star Tre-Ysgawen Hall, Country House Hotel and Spa with pool is 15 minutes drive. There is Storws Wen golf club nearby and 4 other golf courses within a 25 minute drive and a good selection of nice restaurants and pubs in the area. There are 4 lovely beaches within a 15 minute drive of the cottage which are great for families, clean and safe with great rock pools, good for making sand castles, flying kites, playing cricket and perfect for long walks. There is a fantastic selection of water sports, walks and outdoor activities or you can relax and recharge, enjoying the peace and quiet. Situated in Marian-glas, between Amlwch and Benllech, on the Isle of Anglesey. Ideally situated for all the attractions of Anglesey. Marianglas is a short walk (1km) to the beach at Traeth Bychan from where you have the choice of heading either north or south on the Anglesey Coastal Path. Head South to Benllech with its fine beach and facilities for a great family day out and continue round the headland to the magnificent Red Wharf Bay. Head north to Moelfre renowned both for the Din Lligwy Ancient Settlement, the Lligwy Burial Chamber and the Moelfre Lifeboat Station. Hen Gamdda Fawr, Marianglas, LL73 8NY A5 through Bangor Head north-west on Menai Suspension Bridge/A5 Continue to follow A5 0.3mi At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Mona Rd/A5 0.3mi At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Pentraeth Rd/B5420 0.7mi At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Pentraeth Rd/A5025 Continue to follow A5025, through Pentraeth, then through Benllech 8.8mi Turn left onto B5110 at T junction signposted Llangefni/ Sailing Club. Follow road for 0.6 miles, down into dip and up again, signpost on right for Parciau Arms pub immediately after there is a large red and white sign for Pigeon House Caravan Park. The single track entrance for Hen Gamdda Fawr is directly opposite on the left.
