As the name suggests, it is a conversion of former stables and a workshop, and has far reaching views at the front of the Clwydian hills. In a rural location but close to major road networks, we are approximately 1 mile from the centre of Mold, the nearest pub/restaurant is half a mile away. Chester is half an hour's drive away, Liverpool about 40 minutes away, Manchester and the Snowdonia National Park an hour or so away. Mold has a good range of shops and cafes, a street market twice weekly, a theatre and a number of excellent restaurants. This property is contemporary in style while retaining some original features, and is furnished to a high standard. Downstairs is open plan with a large comfortable sofa, log burning stove and French windows to make the most of the views. Wifi is available, and there is a television in the main bedroom as well as downstairs. The modern kitchen is equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, and a washing machine is in the utility room. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (one with ensuite shower room), the two larger bedrooms have oak king size beds with high quality mattresses, the 3rd bedroom has two single beds. All bed linen is supplied. The bathroom has a bath and a shower, towels are supplied. Outside are large gardens with lovely views and a small climbing frame and swing and garden toys for small children. There is a utility area to the rear and there is plenty of space to park. We can supply a cot if required. There is plenty to do in the local area and lots of events (big and small) taking place throughout the year, for example the Food Festival in September, the Mold carnival and Jazz Music festival, Flint and Denbigh agricultural show, Loggfest, Rhyl air show, the eisteddfod in Llangollen, the Loggerheads duck race etc etc. The North East Wales area offers excellent walking on the Offas Dyke path and on the numerous footpaths and rights of way through the Clwydian Hills and there are walks to suit all abilities. There are excellent mountain bike trails at Llandegla forest and horse riding is available locally. There is an ice rink in Deeside (6 miles away). Watersports are available at the coast and at Llangollen. There are several stately homes nearby, including Chirk Castle and Erddig House (both National Trust) and also Plas Teg reputedly one of the most haunted houses in Wales. We are within easy reach of the beach resorts of Talacre, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno, and also the famous castles at Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Harlech. Alternatively, there are many attractive villages in the countryside around Mold waiting to be explored. Please feel free to contact us for any further information. Have a look at the sister property next door, The Old Cottage, which sleeps 4.More

Getting around
The cottage is approximately one mile from the centre of Mold. From there, you can catch buses to Chester, Wrexham, Ruthin and Denbigh. The nearest train station is 3 miles away in Buckley. There are several taxi companies that operate in Mold. A car is recommended because the cottage is situated on a private driveway off a main road with a grass verge rather than a pavement.
